Raystown Lake

Fished with my boss, John Lambert and Rick Gority today on Johns boat. It was very hot! Didnt stay very late but didnt really catch much eaither. Probably 200 combined bluegills and a couple small bass. Nothing exceptional. 1 fish on topwater, 1 missed on topwater. No taking of any other lures. My theory is we need downriggers, which of course we didnt have. Some spots were over 200ft deep. It would take a jig 20 mins to fall that far.

June 12, 2005

Fished my favorite stream today, Spring Creek. Fishing was tough, picked up some monster suckers on olive scuds. 3 nice browns on a gold ribbed hairs ear and a golden rainbow on the same. Rainbow had a gill plate missing. This is the second bow this year that had this problem and was still living. And people say these fish arent strong! Stockies maybe not, natives are another topic.

Spring Creek

Fished Spring Creek, Bellefonte last night. 30 mins 8 fish. Started at 7:30pm and the rain had just quit, the sulfer spinners werent falling at all, within 5 mins it turned into a frenzy. I caught a rainbow that was completely missing a gill plate yet was totally fine. And to think people believe these fish are weak.

Bald Eagle Fishing

Fished the pumphouse hole below Milesburg today. Virtually no sulfer hatch, must have been the colder weather that held them back. 5 fish caught on scuds and dark sulfer nymphs, all were very small.
